𝑀𝒪𝒪𝒩𝑅𝐼𝒩𝒢 is a dark-fantasy, turn-based, retro-fusion of classic turn-based RPGs and roguelikes, all presented with a unique neon aesthetic!

𝑀𝒪𝒪𝒩𝑅𝐼𝒩𝒢 is a retro-inspired open-world, turn-based, tile RPG in the style of the classic Ultima games, but created from the ground up with modern design sensibilities.

The world's geography is hand-designed, but the deadly dungeons beneath the surface reconfigure each time you leave... or die.

Travel, trade, sneak, fight and sail the world of Caldera. Speak with the townsfolk, learn Caldera's secrets, and challenge the Archon for his throne... or even overthrow the Gods themselves!

"Five hundred years ago, a vast crater opened up in the center of the Sibaroon Empire, cutting it off from the world. The crater's dust hid the sun, plunging it into darkness. From the crater's heart rolled a toxic fog known as ‘Amber’ which itself summoned other horrors which shrieked and shambled in the darkness. This event ended the Sibaroon Empire. Its people scattered, burning anything they could for light, heralding an age known as The Endless Dark.

After one hundred years, a ring of five moons appeared in the black sky. With their rise, the sun-starved wastelands became fertile once more, bringing forth crops and the possibility of new hope. The people of this new, moonlit world named it 'Caldera'.

One year after the appearance of the moon-ring, the Calderans began to dream of gods: The Lords of Dust, The Blind Angels, Death’s Harlequin, The Lady of the Sanguine Moon and The Great Forest Wolf. Each person only dreamed of one god, and so eventually each came to follow a different faith, and with it a different viewpoint on life, death, and magic. But a few did not dream at all.

Every thirty years or so, one of the Dreamless is chosen to become Caldera's ruler or 'Archon', for those without a link to the gods are believed capable of remaining impartial in all things. The current Archon is old, and a replacement must be found. You, too, are Dreamless. You are free to choose your fate, to worship or not worship as you decide. And maybe one day, you might rise to the role of Archon".

A dreamy, beguiling, nostalgic dungeon synth quest through the shires. But, it's so much more than that. The LP incorporates some unique key changes, field recordings and a lot of Mort Garson style synth work. It sometimes reminds me of old 70's PG horror soundtracks. The record is addictive melancholy inspiration. The ideal music for accompanying the dawning morning of an epic adventure. brantly

My favorite out of the three I believe.The sound is more aggressive and fits the cover art of what looks like a perilous journey for the protagonist. Fits well at being the second in the trilogy of albums. Every song is good and the cassette tape and package is of good quality. A Great buy that deserves a vinyl edition. Joshua Laleina
