Loïk I'm kind of a nerd about chiptune. And although the tracks are too short for me, I couldn't pass to have possesion of the works of Basic Dungeon.

Any person who grew up in the 70's & 80's will like this kind of project :) Favorite track: He casts a spell.
The Reaper's Preacher

The Reaper's Preacher tfw you get the whole digital discography of a record label for buying a couple of cassettes. Favorite track: He casts a spell.
Unknow

Unknow Another really atmospheric and very addictive album by the masters of soundtracks and ambient music !
This one is full of videogame like sounds, really minimal and yet super catchy!
Buy this at your own risk . . . you are warned, you might fall in the pit of basic dungeon and get stuck for ages! Favorite track: Losing hit points.
Kaptain Carbon
Kaptain Carbon thumbnail
Kaptain Carbon There is a lot of dedications for Basic Dungeon in what it is and what is is paying reverence. Dungeons and Dragons, 8-bit fantasy games, Commodore 64 sound chips, and general escapism during the 80’s is all under the umbrella for this album that build upon the niche sound of Bit DS. This Italian collective has found something weird and broken and is going to continue to release things that are strange and wonderful. Favorite track: Barbaric clash.
PastaMight

PastaMight Hearing this immediately brought to mind the classic, pixelated D&D video games. So intense, for such minimalistic tracks! Favorite track: The quest.

about

The new release in the Dungeonostalgie series by HDK is a little, striking album of minimal dungeon-synth came out from a dark past. A past in which few white pixels on a black screen were enough to create marvelous and barbaric worlds.

O===[====================-

In the Cold War era, many of us spent sleepless nights in front of video-RPGs like Sword of Fargoal, Ultima I and Phantasie, dreaming of the enchanted and brave worlds of Dungeons and Dragons.
You can relive those glorious and heroic epoque with "Tunnels and Treasures" by Basic Dungeon, a lost early 80s video-RPG soundtrack. Find out how intriguing and intense the exploration of pixeled dungeons could be in the 8-bit era.

O===[====================-

"You are inside a dungeon wrapped in darkness and you have to explore his wet and cold tunnels. You have no other source of light than your torch. You will encounter threats of all kinds: monsters and traps can be around every corner. Good exploration..."

"Tunnels & Treasures" was recorded in an unknown place and in an unknown time by an 8-bit geek.

This little beep-beep album is dedicated to Bob Yannes, the inventor of the "Sound Interface Device number 6581/858", better known as SID, the sound chip of the Commodore 64. This chip, for many of us, was the first musical experience of our life (weird but true). For this, we will be forever grateful to him.
