They appear as we turned the corner
a few and hostiles
we decided to fight
Long range weapons did good job
we had a hand to hand combat
but soon many others joined our enemies
The fight was raging hard
when the wizard
cast a spell
The bloody fight stopped
and our humanoid enemies
fell into a sudden sleep
The blood soaked into the stone floor
and the acrid smell of dead creatures
was mixed with silence
It's time to go ahead

THE SECRET DOOR
every corner of the cave was mapped
but we could not find the precious talisman we heard about.
we found only miserable silver coins
we felt that our golden reward was vanishing
...search again and again...
we touched every wall carefully, but nothing.
Then we hit a stone surface:
the wall started moving
a new dark tunnel opened in front of our eyes
This was not done by kobolds
this came from much more dangerous creatures.
While we passed through the secret door,
we realized that we had to face
a more evil entity...

Ogni cunicolo della cava era stato mappato
eppure non c'era traccia del prezioso talismano.
Solo la miseria di qualche moneta d'argento.
Vedevamo svanire la nostra ricompensa d'oro

Tastavamo con cura ogni parete. Niente.
Finchè, colpendo una superficie di pietra,
la parete cominciò a ruotare.

ma è ingegno di creature assai più pericolose

They found us while we were watching their secret and evil rite
Acolytes followed us fast through the underground corridors
armed by iron hammers and slingshots
We started a fight
some of them fell
but we were wounded and in bad shape
We ran with our hearts in our throats
until we reached the secret door
but - terror! - it was locked!
and we had no chanche to open it from the inside
Another fight, with no enough strength
we feared that could be the end
when suddenly a spell of magic light
defended our escape
We hid in a safe place
in the darkness
to heal our wounds
The eyes of the black priest
will torment us for so long
but now we know where is the talisman we are looking for:
it hangs at his neck

FUGA DALLA CONFRATERNITA MALVAGIA
Ci avevano scoperti mentre spiavamo il loro rito malvagio.
Gli accoliti ci hanno inseguito per i corridoi sotterranei
armati di mazze ferrate e fionde

Very relaxing,it evokes a fantasy land... like a distant and ethereal vision of an old elven town lost in the ancient, misty woods... I am not familiar with Ursula K. Le Guin yet but makes me want to check it out!
